Ind Vol Discharged July 9,1862 because of' dlsability. Joined the M.E,.Church at Windsor about 1867. Surv. are the wIf. 2 dts and 1 son who d. before him. Bur Unlon Chapel Cem.

        HEWITT, Joseph, d. June 10, 1891 of' EnteritIs. b. Ohio he was in hIs 84th year of his age. He had been a res. of R.C. for more than 50yrs. Res. near Neff since 1841. His wife is deceased.

Came to Ind in 1840 to Stoney CreekTwp. and Farmland in 1865. She d. Apr.10. 1887 ae 81y 11m 25d. Mem. of the M.E. Church. Bur. at the Woodlawn Cem. at Maxsville on the lot where her dt. was bur. previously. She had 10 children.
