The The Muncie Star PressWINCHESTER - Helen Marie Henderson, 98, of Winchester died at the Randolph Nursing home on Wednesday, November 15, 2006. She was born August 1, 1908 at the Home of her parents, Loyd and Lola (Shook) Shaw, in rural Randolph County.

Helen was a homemaker. She was also a member of the East Street Congregational Christian Church, Sunday School, Women's Fellowship, and the Home Economics "30" Club. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, house plants, bridge club, traveling, rug weaving, and entertaining family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Rooze of Muncie, IN; and Judith "husband Robert" Farlow of rural Winchester; 7 grandchildren Michele "husband Rob" Butler of Winchester; Stephanie "husband Rob" Blair of Noblesville, IN; John Henderson of Washington D.C.; Marilyn "husband Todd" Alexander of Westerville, OH; Scott "wife Sarah" of Bowling Green, KY; Donald "wife Cindy" Swartz of Lancaster, OH; Valarie Dodson of Lancaster, OH; and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Harold (Doc) Kenneth Henderson in 1993; and a son Harold Richard Henderson and his wife Carole.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 18, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at the East Street Congregational Christian Church, with Pastor Max Edwards officiating. Burial will be at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester Indiana.
Calling hours will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday, November 17, 2006 at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, Indiana.
