The Farmland EnterpriseObituary -- Sarah E. Emmons was born March 21st, 1861 in Wells county, Indiana, and was united in matrimony with Albert Gunckle on the 22nd day of December, 1881. She departed this life on Wednesday, January 29, 1890, aged 28 years, 10 months and 8 days. She was a kind and affectionate wife and loving mother. To know her was to love her. She bore her affliction with great resignation and expressed herself "that the Lord was precious to her soul; that her way was clear and she was ready to go." Her funeral was held at the M. E. church in Parker, on Friday, January 31st, in the presence of a large concourse of people, conducted by Rev. William Terrell, who was assisted by Rev. C. E. White. The friends of the deceased tender to the good people of Parker and vicinity their heartfelt thanks for the kindness shown them in the hour of death and bereavement.
