Frederick Goodhue Killed By Train
Accident at Quincy, While Switching
Cars--Dies At Bellefontaine
----------
Frederick Goodhue, Jr., received injuries Thursday afternoon of last week from which he died Thursday evening at 9:15 o'clock. Less than two weeks previous to his death he had accepted employment as a brakeman on the Big Four. He was injured at Quincy, Ohio, while in the discharge of his duty. He was alone at the time, so it is not known how the accident happened. He was crushed about the hips and died a few hours after being removed to a hospital at Bellefontaine.
The remains were brought to this city where his wife and ten months old child reside. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at four o'clock at the Church of Christ, following which the remains were laid to rest in Fountain Park Cemetery.
The deceased was one of Winchester's best young men. Had he lived until October 16th he would have reached his twenty-third birthday. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Goodhue, Sr., and until going to work on the Big Four was a valued employee of the Woodbury Glass Co. He was popular with a large circle of friends who were shocked and saddened by his untimely death.
