The Winchester DailyThe second death of a Randolph county boy in France, so far reported, was that of Floyd Freeman, aged twenty, grandson of Mrs. Mary J. Grubbs, of Modoc, who received word last week that he had died of pneumonia in a hospital in France. Russell Freeman, who was raised in West River township, enlisted at Kokomo last fall in the aviation service and had been in France but a short time when stricken. The first death "over there" of a Randolph county boy was Earl C. Imel, of Union City, who also died of pneumonia.
