----------
William Pierson Fennimore, was born September 29, 1850, departed this life February 14, 1907, aged 56 years, 4 months and 15 days.
He was born near the home just across the road from where he lived and on the same spot the years of his vigorous manhood were spent.
He was married to Francena Hartup, November 12, 1880. To this union was born one son Byron Earl Fennimore, who has come to manhood estate having reached his 24 year and who is of such sterling qualities of character that his mother in this hour of sore bereavement can lean on him with assurance that the burden of life laid down by the father will be carried with christian fortitude by the son.
The one unpurchasable thing in this life is character and a young man inspired by high ideals of life can bring to a home a blessing that the wealth of worlds could not buy.
On Tuesday, February 5th, he complained of feeling unwell and there was soon developed the symptoms of pneumonia. All that medical skill and tender care could do was done but he rapidly grew worse and the end came near midnight of the 14th day of this month. All his life has been spent amid the familiar scenes of his childhood and with a premonition that he could not recover he gently fell asleep and passed up to the honorable recognition at the hand of the King of kings.
His character was founded in the bed rock of principle and he never swerved from his convictions of right and as he saw the path of duty he moved forward with no faltering step until life's final close. His influence and example will be a power for good in all the coming years for the Savior teaches us that deeds not creeds will be the final test in the judgement.
The community will miss him and the family more keenly than others as the years go by.
