          DEERFIELD - Roy Lee Collins, age 83, passed away late Saturday evening, September 16, 2006 at Cameron Memorial Hospital in Angola, IN.
          Funeral arrangements are pending at MJS Mortuaries-Ridgeville Chapel.

Roy Lee Collins, 83
----------
          DEERFIELD - Roy Lee Collins, age 83, of Turkey Lake, passed away on Saturday September 16, 2006 at the Cameron Memorial Community Hospital in Angola, IN.           He was born in Deerfield, IN on June 30, 1923 to Roe and Verna (Ray) Collins. He married Betty Foster, who survives.
          He was a veteran of the US Air Force.
          Mr. Collins worked at the Portland Forge as a foreman.
          Memberships include F & AM Lodge #236 Angola, IN, York Rite Chapter #58, and Yeomen of York Angola, IN. Commandry #45 of Bryan, OH. and Past Honorary Commander, 50 year member of the Eagles Lodge in Portland, IN.
          He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty J. Collins of Hudson, IN; a son, Don Collins (wife-Diana), Portland; a daughter, Penny Imel (husband-Clarence), Portland; four grandchildren, Angela Hayden of Ft. Wayne, Tammy Austin (husband-Alan) of Cambridge City, Donnie Collins (wife-Casey ) of Indianapolis, and Eric Collins (wife-Laura) of McCordsville; and five great grandchildren.           He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Jerry Collins.
          There will be no visitation.
          Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
          Burial will be at Reitenour Cemetery in Ridgeville, IN. Memorials may be made to the choice of the donor, Family requests no flowers.  Funeral arrangements by MJS Mortuaries-Ridgeville Chapel.

        COLLINS, Lee, a colored barber, was found on the sts on the Ohio side of U.C. last Fri. Morn. He had been shot in the head and killed in the night before.
