Soldiers  Cemetery

Soldiers of the War of 1812

This little cemetery is located just north of the Mississinewa River and south of State Road 28 on State Road 1, where Dinner Creek crosses.  It is the site of the graves of three soldiers,  Jesse Benton,  Thompson Carnahan  and  Salem Peyatt.  A memorial has been built there by the Preservation Society.  For three generations the Alwyn Carder family kept the site marked.
