Fountain  Park  Cemetery

Located on south Main Street in Winchester. Ashel Stone designed and laid out this cemetery and donated it to the people of Winchester in 1880. Many bodies were moved here from other cemeteries, including Stone's father, Ezra, who died in 1848. A marker is here for the grandparents of James Whitcomb Riley,Indiana's poet, and there is one for Zachariah Johnston, a soldier of the Revolutionary War, although he is buried on a farm south of Winchester.
Governor James Goodrich and his family are buried here. Many acres have been added to the original 18 sections.
This cemetery has a full-time caretaker living on the site.
