YOUNG, William - 1893 - Putnam

“Carpentersville news” – Wm. M. Young was buried last Saturday, having died from an injury received from his buggy turning over. He was a Presbyterian, and the funeral was conducted by Rev. Fyffe of Crawfordsville.  He was nearly 80 years old, having settled in Franklin Township, this county in 1835 or 36.  Thus another old pioneer is gone. There were several brothers and sisters present during his sickness; he was only bedfast about one week.

“Fillmore news”  -- Mr. Nute Young, of Illinois was called to the death bed of his brother, Wm. Young of Carpentersville and while here visited relatives near this place.
