YOUNG, C. Vernon - Putnam

C. Vernon Young, 78, died Thursday Jan 6, 2005 at Johnson Memorial Hospital. He was a resident of Whiteland, Indiana.  Born on Oct 25, 1926 in Putnam County, Indiana the son of William and Dorothy Young. He married Evelyn N. Norris on June 28, 1957 in Brazil, Indiana.  Other survivors include two daughters, Jacqueline Young and Teri Raney, both of Indianapolis; three sons, Bradley Young, Indianapolis; David A. Young and Dale A. Young, three brothers, Harold Young, Dayton, Kentucky, Fred Young and Bob Young both of Brazil; three sisters, Ellen Fisher, Leona Morris and Doretta Morris, all of Brazil, Indiana. Three grandchildren, Kelly Bowen, Kim Limp and Justin Raney and 6 great grandchildren. Preceding him in passing were a son, Thomas D. Young and six siblings. He was employed by AT &T (formerly Western Electric) retiring in 1985 and was a US Army Veteran. Vernon was a member of Mt. Pleasant Christian Church, Englewood Lodge 715, F&AM in Indianapolis and Indianapolis Valley Scottish Rite. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday Jan 8, 2005 at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin with calling there from 11 a.m .until the service. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Vista Care Hospice.
