WOOD, Otway

Death has been among us again and taken another loved face from our midst. Otway Wood passed from among the living May 4, 1892. After 7 months patient suffering of that dread disease, consumption, he passed to the land where there is no sickness and no pain to meet his father who for several years has been waiting to welcome him. He leaves a mother, brother, sister and large number of friends to mourn his loss. He was near 21 years of age when the Savior saw fit to take him home; one of the “fair flowers that grew up and faded in our midst.” He was a faithful and loving son, a kind and dutiful brother and the circle of friends in which he was accustomed to be found, mourn that one who stood so high and whose face was always welcome can be seen no more. But the remembrance of our friend, now dead, may serve as a help and a guide to us in the future. The mother, whose grief none but a mother can know, the sister and brother have the deepest and most sincere sympathy that a large circle of friends can give.
