WILLS, Mabel Abernathy - 1972 - Putnam

THORNTOWN – Mrs. Mabel Wills, 88, died at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in her home at Thorntown. She was a member of the Thorntown Presbyterian Church. She and her husband had resided at Thorntown since 1957. Before that they had lived at Hazelrigg. Mrs. Wills was a former operator for the Hazelrigg Telephone Co. She was born near Hazelrigg March 14, 1884, a daughter of John and Cora Hysong Abernathy. She was married Feb. 21, 1912, to Calvin I. Wills, who survives. She was preceded in death by a sister. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Russell and Hitch Funeral Home here, with Rev. Harold Clark officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lebanon. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday.   – jlr
