Harold E. “Curly” Williams, 68, 11570 Man Road, Mooresville, died Wed in Methodist Hospital after s sudden illness.  He was married to Inez Smith on June 19, 19662, and she survives.  Also surviving are two stepdaughters, Nancy Schultz, Noblesville and Sherri McClernan, Montours, PA; one sister, Helen Elmore, Greencastle and 8 stepgrandchildren.  A Mooresville resident for 23 years, Mr. Williams was a bus driver, who drove, without an accident for Metro Transit in Indianapolis for 32 years.  He retired in 1976.  A Vice President of Almagamated Transit Union Local 1070, he was an honorary life member of the Madison Township Volunteer Fire Department.  He belonged to the Mooresville Senior Citizen’s Group.  He was also a member of the Mt. Gilead Church.  A World War II veteran of the US Air Force, Mr. Williams was also active in the Republican Party.  He painted all the Republican signs displayed in Morgan County.  His funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Gilead Church.  The Rev. Terry Crist will officiate and burial will follow at the Putnamville Cemetery. Friends may call at the Carlisle and Son Funeral Chapel in Mooresville from 2-9 p.m. Saturday and at the church on Sunday  one hour prior to the service. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Mt. Gilead Church. – kbz
