WILLIAMS, Etta Florence Alexander - Putnam

NORTH SALEM – Mrs. Etta Florence Williams, 82-year-old resident of North Salem died at Barton House Nursing Home at Indianapolis Saturday. She had been in ill health for several years. Born July 23, 1883 in Putnam County, she was a daughter of John and Mary Miller Alexander. She married Delbert Williams on Jan. 4, 1903 at Ladoga. She was a member of North Salem Christian Church and had attended Putnam County schools. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ethel Hewson of Greenfield, Mrs. Lavina Johnson of North Salem and Mrs. Mabel Jameison of Indianapolis; 18 grandchildren and 41 great- grandchildren; two brothers, Walter Alexander of Acton and Clarence Alexander of Indianapolis, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Beams of Greencastle and Mrs. Pearl Newman of Indianapolis. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Porter Funeral Home with Rev. L. C. Zigler officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.    --– jlr
