Frankfort, Ind – Services for Forest Kyle Wildman, 94, Frankfort, widow of former DePauw University President Clyde E. Wildman will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home in Greencastle.  Calling will be one hour before services. She died Monday in a Frankfort nursing home. Mrs. Wildman graduated from DePauw University in 1915. She was the first DePauw graduate to become the “first lady” of the university. She was born in Aurora and lived in Greencastle during her husband’s tenure as president of DePauw from 1936 until 1951. She remained there for several years after his death in 1955 before moving to Frankfort. She was very active in university affairs and was a member of the Godin United Methodist Church in Greencastle. Survivors: two grandsons.

  
Note: Clyde was the first president to own an earned PhD and was also a DePauw graduate.  The year he took over was the 100th anniversary of the university (libguides.depauw.edu/c.php\\poynter
