Died: Dec 29, 1888, Precious Ann Werneke, daughter of the late Gus Werneke, of consumption aged 25 years. Dr. Bainum officiated at the funeral Monday afternoon.

Miss Precious Werneke, YPSCE in connection with the Presbyterian Church of Greencastle Dec 11, a committee was appointed to draft suitable resolutions upon the death of their beloved sister and co-laborer, Miss Precious Werneke. In pursuance of this the following resolutions were present to the Society for approval.
Whereas, in the dispensation of Divine Providence our dear friend and sister, Miss Precious Werneke has been called from our company by the Messenger called death, we desire to pay this last loving tribute to respect to her memory.
Resolved, that whereas, our sister Precious has been so long, as health permitted, one of our most earnest and efficient members ever prompt in duty, gentle and kind to all, using every means of voice and example to aid in up building our beloved Society.

Therefore resolved, we recognize the right of our Divine Father to remove her from our midst and from labor and pain to sweet and blissful reward and rest and would submissive in tender Him all praise for his loving kindness to all his children, we shall ever remember it was very sweet to have her association with us in our work.
Resolved, that these resolutions be spread upon the Record of this Society and a copy be presented with our heart felt sympathy and condolence to the family of the deceased also to the City papers for publication. Respectfully submitted by your committee.
