WERNEKE, John - Putnam

The funeral of John Werneke, age 6, son of Mrs. Gertrude Werneke, 425 East Anderson Street killed Friday evening when he was struck by an automobile driven by Miss Helen Grant of Casey, Ill was held Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. Victor Raphael.  Interment was in Forest Hill cemetery.  Miss Grant, who was driving the automobile which killed the child fainted during the services and was carried from the church.  She soon revived.
