WELLS, Lee Roy - Putnam

Lee Roy Wells, 85, Fillmore, died early Friday morning at the Putnam County Hospital. He was born near Owingsville, Kentucky, on March 29,1888, the son of Flem and Alice Boaz Wells.

He retired from the New York Central Railroad on December 31,1953 after more than 38 years service. He was a member of the Fillmore Christian Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Grace Cunningham, Greencastle; two sons, Charles, Greencastle, Route 3, Chester, Spokane, Washington; two sisters, Mary Evans, Fillmore, Julia Wheeler, Avon; a brother, Arthur of California; 15 grand children and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie, May 6, 1971.

Services will be held at 2 p. m. at the Fillmore Christian Church.

Friends may call at the Greencastle Hopkins Funeral Home after 1 p. m. Saturday.
