WEBB, Lewis Clay - Putnam

Roachdale - Lewis Clay Webb, 64, who was engaged in the general trucking busines in this area for the last 25 years died suddenly Friday afternoon in Indianpaolis. He was a native of Ky born Aug 23, 1902 to Daniel and Alpha Hazelip Webb. He was married Mary 29, 1922 to Mattie Manion at Broadford, Ky. Mr. Webb was a member of the Baptist Church at Ollie, Ky. Survivors include the wife, 8 children: Jess, Vonnie, Mrs. Beulah Scott, Mrs. Geraldine Lawson, Mrs. Lola Hughes and Henry, all of Roachdale, and twins Joe of Crown Point & Roe of Bloomington; 40 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren, 2 brothers and 2 sisters in KY and two sisters in Indianapolis. Funeral services are annoucne 2 p.m. Monday at Perkins Funeral Home with interment in Roachdale cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Saturday.
