WATSPON, Luther B - WWII - Putnam

Luther Berkley Watson, 61 years old, Greenwood died yesterday in the West 10th Street Veterans Administration Hospital. Born in Greencastle, he had been an electrician foreman for the Indianapolis Power and Light Company, where he had been employed for the last 23 years.  Before serving in the Navy in World War II, he had been a Putnam County conservation officer and Greencastle city policeman.  He was a member of the Bargersville Masonic Lodge, the Murat Shrine and Scottish Rite of Indianapolis, and the Greencastle Presbyterian Church.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery there. Surviving is the widow, Mrs. Mary Allee Watson. – kbz
