WATKINS, Thomas-1895 - Putnam

Thomas Watkins, Deceased was born July 7, 1820, in Scott County IN, where he resided until 12 years of age, when his parents moved to Putnam county IN. He was the son of Nathan & Sarah Watkins being one of a family of seven children.

October 22, 1848, he was united in marriage to Miss Emily Cox, who survives him. To this union were given eight children- three daughters and five sons. James, who resides in this place; Mrs. Mary Barker, who died in 1896, Quincy who resides near Otterbein, IN.; Tilla, who died Aug. 4 1894, Milton (dead), George W. who lives here; Mrs. Jennie Jones, Boswell, IN and Harry (dead).
