WALTON, Mary Alice Runnells - Putnam

April 22, 1954

Mary Alice Walton, daughter of Renny and Nancy (Boaz) Runnells, was born May 23,1876, on the farm where residing at the time of death.

She was married to Charles Walton Sept. 5, 1894. To this union was born six children namely Chester, Lester, Forest, Olive, Minnie and Elizabeth.

She united with the Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist church in 1909. She moved her membership in 1913 to Coatesville Primitive Baptist church, which she attended faithfully as long as health permitted.

She departed this life at 2 p. m. April 13 at Greencastle hospital. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Charles; her sons Chester and Forest of Creswell, Ore., Lester of northeast Coatesville; her daughter Mrs. McKinley Snapp of Bowling Green, Mrs. Alton Hurst of Greencastle, Olive at home; her brothers, Roy Runnells of Santa Ana Calif., Lee Runnells of Minneapolis, Minn., and Thomas Runnells of Cloverdale; her sister, Mrs. Rosa Parks of Englewood Colo.; also twenty -one grand children, twenty-eight great-grand children, one foster grandson, Charles Haus, and a host of relatives and friends. One grandson, Lewis Walton, passed away April 21, 1934.
