WALSH, Edna Varvel Walsh - Putnam

Dr. BE Lemmon of Fillmore reports the birth of a 16# baby girl to Mr. and Mrs. Earl Varvel of Fillmore on April 28.  He reports mother and baby doing nicely.

Edna Ruth Varvel Walsh, 72, Greencastle, formerly of Indianapolis died Friday. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Greencastle of which she was a member.  Calling will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday in Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle. She had worked more than 30 years for several fraternities and sororities at DePauw University.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. She was the widow of John T. “Jack” Walsh. Survivors: daughters, Connie Hayes, Maridee Dozier and Gail Wittmer; sister, Annis Robinson; brother, Murvin Burl Varvel; 8 grandchildren, a great grandchild.
