Benjamin F. Walls, 86, of Parsons died in a local hospital Tuesday morning after a short illness.
He was born January 5, 1867, in Greencastle, Ind. He moved to Parsons after his marriage in 1896 and lived there until he moved to Topeka about a year ago.  He was a retired conductor with 50 years service with the MK & T railroad. He was a member of the First Christian church of Parsons, Parsons' lodge No. 117 A F & A M, the Fort Scott Consistory, Mirza Temple of Pittsburg, and the Order of Railway Conductors.  He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Howard of 1535 Gage; a granddaughter, Miss Nancy Lee Howard, also of 1535 Gage, and several nieces and nephews.
