Funeral services for David Wallace, 90-year-old Civil War veteran and highly respected farmer of Jefferson Township, were held from the B rick Chapel Church near Belle Union this morning, followed by interment in the Stilesville cemetery.  Mr. Wallace died at the home of his niece, Mrs. Katherine Callis in Martinsville at 3 o’clock Monday morning.  Mr. Wallace had spent much of his time for the past few years in Memorial hospital and in sanitariums at Martinsville  --- transcribed by  kbz

Albert Wallace and Alpha B. Allee administrators of the estate of David Wallace, deceased filed papers with the clerk of the court today.  The deceased according to the statement had left in cash the sum of $1000 in a sealed envelope in the hands of the Central Trust Company to be given upon his death to the following: Thelma Schowmyer, Velma Curtis, Lola Dove Vaughn, Albert Ross Allee and Marie Montgomery.  A sum of $5000 was sealed for Albert Wallace.  --- transcribed by  kbz
