Fred Walker, 30 years old, former resident and Jefferson Township resident and nephew of George Walker, county road superintendent was instantly killed with two companions when an automobile in which they were riding crashed into a Pere Marquette freight train at Joy Road crossing in Detroit Saturday morning. The other victims were Albert Parker and Benjamin Barnett a former resident of Brazil and the three were employed at the Packard Motor Company and were en route to work when the crash occurred. – kbz
