WADE, Charles - Putnam

LaPorte – Charles L. Wade, 81 of 706 Woodward St died at 5 a.m. today in his home.  He retired as a buy of building materials.  Mr. Wade was born Dec 20, 1906 in Greencastle, Ind.  He moved to LaPorte from Indianapolis 15 years ago.  His wife, Alma, preceded him in death.  Surviving are two sons, Glen E. Wade of Union Mills and Larry A. Wade of LaPorte; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  A son, Gene Wade, died in 1981.  Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Essling Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2-9 p.m. Thursday and after 7 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the LaPorte Community Cancer Association. – kbz
