VOLKERS, Clyde Erman Reed - Putnam

Clyde Erman Reed Volkers, age 38 years well known resident of Manhattan died shortly before noon Monday at the Putnam County Hospital.  Mr. Volkers had been in ill health for some time, but became seriously ill only a few days ago.  He was admitted to the hospital Saturday.  He was a member of the Manhattan Christian Church and Ft. Harrison IIOOF Lodge at Terre Haute.  Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Odema (?) Volkers, his father, Ivan H. Volkers of Terre Haute and a sister, Mrs. Eliza Laybold of Oak Glen, Ill.  Funeral arrangements will be announced later.   -– kbz
