Vermillion, Jesse

Jesse O. Vermillion, 60, of Rt. 7, Crawfordsville died this morning at 5:30 o’clock in Culver Hospital. He had been a Republican precinct committeeman for 18 years, was a candidate for nomination as auditor of the county in 1970, and was employed the past six years by the Montgomery County Highway Department. Mr. Vermillion had also worked at Allison Division of General Motors and had farmed. He was a graduate of Bellmore High School and attended Indiana State University. Mr. Vermillion was a member of Masonic Lodge 8 at Rockville, the Elks Lodge and Optimist Club. Born Oct. 8, 1913, he was a son of Otho and Junie Latham Vermillion. He was married Oct. 2, 1945 to Rozelle White, who survives. Other survivors include a brother, Theodore of Boise, Idaho, and three sisters, Mrs. Harold Collings of Rockville, Miss Olive Belle Vermillion of Battle Creek, Mich., and Mrs. Dorothy VanBrunt of Indianapolis. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard F. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery at Rockville.
