VAUGHAN, Jewell - Putnam

Funeral services for Jewell H. Vaughan, 81, former Cloverdale resident will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a. m. at the Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale, with burial in Cloverdale Cemetery. Mr. Vaughan died Monday morning at the Green view Manor Nursing Home in Indianapolis. He was born November 18, 1884, in Putnam County, the son of Thompson and Della Hill Vaughan. He was married to Nota Beryl Todd, who preceded him in death in 1965. Ha was a member of the Amity Baptist Church and Owen Lodge FAAM No. 655 ef Quincy. Mb. Vaughan was a retired school teacher. Ha had taught school In Putnam, Morgan and Hendricks Counties and at one time wan County Superintendent of Schools in Hendricks County. Survivors are: one daughter, Mrs. Mabel Truax, Plainfield; two sons. Milliard Vaughan, Ctoverdale, R. 3 and Durwood of Fulton, lnd.; three grandchildren and three great-grand-children.  - lbz
