Mrs. Laura Belle VanHook, 82 who spent most of her life in the Russellville community died Sunday in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Frank P. Cockrell of Shadeland after a week’s illness. The body was sent to Roachdale. Born in Pulaski County, Kentucky, Mrs. VanHook was married to James VanHook in 1896. Her husband died in 1945. She belonged to the Christian Church. Survivors besides Mrs. Cockrell are two other daughters, Mrs. Vola Widener, Lafayette and Mrs. Fay Kessinger, Roachdale and a son, Aubrey VanHook, Springfield, Mo. – kbz
