Mr. and Mrs. James VanHook, the parents, with Mrs. Faye Kessinger, Mrs. Monta Cockrell and Mrs. Bessie Widener, sisters with their families have returned to their homes here after attending the funeral of Bradford VanHook, 24, grocery salesman of Portland Mills, Ind. The son and brother died August 15 at Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville and the funeral was held last Tuesday at Seceder Church, Portland Mills, where burial was also made. The young man was born at Marshall, and was married in 1934 to Eloise Smiley. Surviving are the widow; two children; Rosalyn and George Allen; a brother, Aubrey of Portland Mills with the parents and three sisters of this city. – kbz
