TRAIL, Golda - Putnam

Golda Marie Trail, 71, Greencastle, died Wednesday morning at St. Vincent Hospital in Greencastle. The daughter of Silas and Grace Hill Morrison, she was born July 2, 1916 in Morgan County (Note: Putnam County Birth Record H-16 p 95. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church.  Her first husband, Charles D. Higgins died March 23, 1966.  Later she married Charles W. Trail and he preceded her in death on July 24, 1974.  Survivors include a son, Charles Higgins, Greencastle; four daughters, Sandra Thacker and Sherry Buchanan, both Indianapolis and Connie Trueblood and Sue Ann Trail, both Greencastle; three stepsons, Roy and Robert Higgins and Bobby Trail, all Greencastle; four stepdaughters, Margaret Parris, Louise Rogers, Anna Marie Haga and Betty Kiger, all Greencastle; a brother, Gene Morrison and two sisters, Lillian Holsapple and Ella Mae Zike, all of Martinsville; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and a sister. Her 2 p.m. Friday funeral – calling at the funeral home is 4-8 p.m. today. – kbz
