TONEY, Christian - Putnam

Died, at her home, three miles northwest of this city, on the 21st day of May, Christian Toney. Deceased was born In Millerburgh, Dauphin county Pennsylvania, January 22nd, 1836. She was married to Henry H. Toney on July 25, 1854 at Danville, Ind.  To this union were born seven children. Charlie Toney, west of the city; Frank Toney west of the city; Mrs. John Adams of Craig, Neb., Mrs. J. C. Tallman of Louisville, Ky. Three are deceased, the brother and sister of the deceased are Mrs. Amanda Frankfort, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, and Mr. Wm. Novlnger of Missouri. She was the grandmother of thirty-six grand children. She united with the M. E. Church 50 years ago. and was a faithful Christian all the years and a faithful companion. She leaves a husband and a host of friends to mourn her loss. – kbz
