A.J. Titus, well known resident of the Fincastle neighborhood, passed away at his home Thursday. Mr. Titus was found dead in bed by his daughter. The deceased who was born May 22, 1850 east of Alamo was the son of Jesse and Katherine Titus and had spent his entire life in farming. For some time he had been residing with his daughter near Fincastle. Those surviving are three sons, harold of Indianapolis, Ernest of this city and Guy also of this city, three daughters, Mrs. William Garrigus, Indianapolis; Mrs. Theodore Johnson of Crawfordsville and Miss Ruth Titus at whose home he died. One daughter preceded him in death several years ago. Mrs. Titus preceded her husband in death about a year ago. Besides the sons and daughters, 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held at the home of Mrs. Theodore Johnson in Crawfordsville at 3:30 on Saturday afternoon. Burial in Oak Hill cemetery.
