THOMAS, Elmer C. - Putnam

Elmer C. Thomas, 81, of Roachdale, father of Mrs. Olive Miller of West Lafayette died in Putnam County Hospital, Greencastle at 2 p.m. Thursday after having been in failing health for some time.  Born at Concord, KY he spent most of his life in Putnam County and was married to Kate M. Nicholas at Raccoon in 1901. Surviving with the widow and Mrs. Miller are five other daughters, Mrs. Ada Whatt of Greencastle; Mrs. Harry Miller of Indianapolis; Mrs. Lola Kostanzer of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Melissa Harbison of Russellville and Mrs. Florence Jeffries of Roachdale and two sons, Elmer J of New Market and Alfred R. of Portland, Oregon
