Mrs Luella Terry of Morton died Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs Herbert Flint on Manhattan Road. Mrs Terry was the daughter of William Whitted and Lucinda (Note per ML name given as Lewis in 1865 on marriage record in Putnam Co., IN) McVey. She was born March 27, 1880 near Paris, IL. She married Milton L. Terry on June 30 1899. Survivors include: husband, Milton L. Terry, 3 children, Leo, Mrs. Herbert Flint, Greencastle, Dwight at home, 4 grand children, Mrs. Harvey (Minnie) Epperson, sister; a brother, Wm. Everett Whitted of IL. She was preceeded in death by 2 sisters & a brother. Burial will be at the cemetery at Morton. (Union Chapel Cem. )

Miss Luella Whitted was born March 27, 1880 near Chrisman, Illinois. She was the daughter of William M. Whitted and Lucinda McVey Whitted.
She was married to Milton Terry June 30, 1899. To this union were born three children--mrs. Leo Terry of Greencastle, Mrs. Herbert Flint of Greencastle, and Dwight Terry, at home. She spent the greater part of her life in her home community near Chrisman, IL, coming to this community in 1913. Mrs. Terry departed this life Tuesday, November 11, 1941 at the home of her daughter -after extended illness.
Mrs. Terry was a member of the Union Chapel Methodist Church. She was received into full membership Sept. 24, 1916 (or 18). She was an active member until conditions arose making it impossible. Her church life is attested by the active work of her children in their respective churches.
Throughout her extended illness, the casual observer could not be aware of the extent of her suffering. Her courage and optimism were manifest unto the very end. her life is her best funeral sermon, for it bespeaks better than any words, Christian virtues throughout. It was a broadcasting station of happiness, good cheer, and friendliness. Her friends are comforted to know that God has taken over the controls and that her new life is now filled with heaven's music.
She leaves to mourn her passing, besides her husband and children, four grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Harvey Epperson of IL, a brother W. E. Whitted of IL, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. There are also a host of neighbors and friends whose smpathies have made this trying period easiser.
