Katherine TAYLOR, 72, of 305 Kennedy Place, died 2:15 p. m. Thursday in Culver Hospital. She was born June 13, 1909 at Crawfordsville, the daughter of Edgar F. and Mary Friedly Taylor. A lifetime resident of Crawfordsville she attended high school here and Madam Blakers School at Indianapolis. She taught kindergarten and piano classes and was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Trip Kappa and Crawfordsville Music Club. For many years she was an organist at St. Johns and the Christian Science Church at Crawfordsville. She was a writer of poetry and author of the book, Running Through the Woods Hilary. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Tom (Elizabeth) Murphey of Silver Springs, Md; a brother Robert S. Taylor of Lake Wales, Fla and several cousins in the crawfordsville area. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Frances Taylor. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a. m. Tuesday, St. John's. Father Everman will officiate. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. There will be no calling at Burkhart Funeral Home. The family has asked contributions be made to St. John's Church.
