Died near Reelsville, on March 28, 1894, John,
son of NE Sutton; deceased was born in Clearmont County, Ohio, Feb 21, 1841,
being 52 years 6 months and 7 days old (sic – does not go with above) he came
to this county in 1867 with his father; he joined the ME Church in 1860; he was
never married and while he had not mind and talent of others about things of
this world; it seemed as if he thought of something far more better; his talk
of late years was of going to church and as long as he was able he always
attended meetings; it worried him to hear any one swear; he was afflicted
nearly all his life but he never murmured and was always ready to do a good
turn for any one; he had no enemies, but a host of friends mourn his demise.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. John Urton; burial at Reelsville
Cemetery.

John Thomas Tucker, son of
Ephraim Tucker, died at the residence of his father, just east of this city on Saturday
April 21, 1894 of lung disease in the 44th year of his age. Deceased was sick for a long time, and had
been confined to the house for several months past and bore his sufferings with
Christian patience and fortitute. His wife, Nee Dilley, preceded him to the
grave, having died in 1890. The funeral, which was very largely attended, took
place from the family residence on Monday morning, Elder Jasper Dolby
conducting the services. Putnam Lodge and Greencastle Lodge, IOOF attended the
funeral as organizations and deceased was buried with honors of the order.
Deceased was highly esteemed by a large circle of friends; he was honest,
industrious, gentlemanly; a good son, a loving husband and kind brother – his
demise is widely and deeply deplored.
