SUTTON, Edith M. Grimes Stump - Putnam

Mrs. Edith M. Sutton, 83, died Tuesday night (Oct 20) in Wesley Manor at Frankfort. she resided in the home for 10 years and had been bedfast the past 4 years. She was born May 1, 1887 in Putnam County to Elmer and Emily McCray Grimes. On August 13, 1910, she married Will L. Stump. He died in 1940.in 1945 she married Willis K. Sutton who died in 1952. Mrs. Sutton was a member of the First Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star. Surviving are a granddaughter, Mrs.carol Knox, and a grandson, Will L. Stump both of Indianapolis; a great grandson, Michael Raymond Stump and 3 great granddaughtesr, Julie Ann, Pamela Sue and Sarah Kay Knox. She was preceded in death by a son, Raymond E. Stump who died in 1944 in France while serving in WWII. Services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Friday by Rev. Frank Little in Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p. m. Thursday.
