SUTHERLIN, Claud - Putnam

Medaryville – Claude Paul Sutherlin, 81, retired farmer, died at 2 a.m. Tuesday in Winamac Nursing Home.  He had been in failing health one year.  Born at Greencastle, he spent most of his life in this area and resided at Medaryville.  He was a member of Medaryville United Methodist Church and White Post Lodge 658.  In 1923 he was married at Greencastle to Mable M. Weltzin, who died in 1975.  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Irvin (Jeanetta) Freshour of Medaryville; one sister, Mrs. Paul (Ella) Evans of Greencastle; and four brothers, Clarence and Oral Sutherlin both of Greencastle; Arthur Sutherlin of Cloverdale and Herbert Sutherlin of Indiana. – kbz
