STROKER, James - Putnam

Greencastle, ind – Dec 3 – James Stroker, a saloonkeeper was counting out his cash Thursday night when a tramp entered and presenting a revolver called for the cash box. Stroker reached for a gun and both began firing. Stroker was shot through the abdomen and groin and is fatally hurt. His assailant escaped.
