STRINGER, Mary E. Stewart - Putnam

The body of Mrs. Mary E. Stringer, 89, who died at her home east of Ladoga early Tuesday morning was brought here for burial in Roachdale cemetery, Thursday afternoon. Born January 2, 1848, in Hendricks Co., Indiana, near North Salem, was the daughter of William and Lucinda Pennington Stewart. On October 1, 1862 she married to L.D. Stringer, who died April 22, 1914. She is survived by six children; George, Roachdale, Braxton, Greencastle, Lilly, Indianapolis, Mrs. Myrtle Brown, Pittsboro, Clea, St. Louis, Mo. and Carl at home; nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren    --- thanks so much to Marilyn Walker for donating her wonderful Roachdale Times obituary file for use on this site.
