Ladoga - Paul D. Stone (Feb 19, 1898 - March 20, 1989), 91, of Rt. 2, Ladoga died Monday in Bloomington Hospital at Bloomington. He had been seriously ill two weeks. Mr. Stoner was a well known cattle breeder. He was a member of the American Polled Hereford Association since 1921 and was past president of the Indiana Polled Hereford Association. He was also a member of the Montgomery County Farm Bureau and attended the Ladoga Presbyterian Church. He was a graduate of Ladoga HS and Manchester College and attended Iowa Sate University before returning to the family farm. He was born Feb 19, 1898, near Ladoga to Samuel D. and Lina Norris Stoner. He was married June 4, 1921 to Vera Victoria Barnhart of North Manchester. She died in 1967. He then married Ruby Allen on Aug 3, 1968. She died in 1982. Surviving are a son, Dr. Harold Ernest of Bloomington; a brother, Benjamin of Cincinnati and four grandchildren. Two sisters and four brothers are deceased. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday in ladoga Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Ann Smith officiating. Burial in Stoner Cemetery
