Appropriate funeral services for
John W. Stoner, whose death occurred Thursday were held Saturday afternoon at
the home west of Greencastle. Rev. HC Clippinger of the Locust Street ME Church
read the obituary and a prayer, which was followed by a sermon by Dr. Gobin of
DePauw University. Mrs. George Christie accompanied by Mrs. Virgil Grimes sang
All the Way and The Home of the Soul. Dr. Gobin gave a short service at the
grave. The pall bearers wer: Walter
Torr, Christopher Stoner, AG Brown, William Jackson, Oscar Obenchain and Ed
McG. Walls. Burial was in Forest Hill
