Neoga, Feb 7 – Mrs. A. Stierwalt died at her home in this
city yesterday afternoon about 1 o’clock. She was born in Putnam County,
Indiana 73 years ago. In 1880, her husband and family, came to Shelby County,
Illinois and about 10 years ago she and her husband removed to Neoga, where
they have resided ever since. She was the mother of 8 children, 3 of whom
preceded her to the better land. The remaining five are namely: MF Stierwalt, Lilly,
SD; LL, Eldorado, Ill; PA Stierwalt, Janesville, Wis; CW Martin, Charleston;
Mrs. M. Hand, Neoga. Besides these she leaves a husband 76 years old, three
sisters and one brother. She was converted early in life and was a sincere
Christian. Funeral services today at one o’clock at the residence and interment
in Neoga cemetery.
