Myrtle Stewart, 52, 849 N. Parker died last night in St. Vincent’s Hospital. She had been in impaired health two years and had undergone surgery a year ago from which she had recovered. A week ago she suffered a heart attack.  Born near Roachdale, in Putnam County, Mrs. Stewart was the daughter of William and Amanda Witt.  Her father was a mail carrier. Mrs. Stewart had lived in Indianapolis 32 years. For 14 years, she was employed in the biological department of Eli Lilly & Co. Fond of flowers, Mrs. Stewart kept many house plants and many different blooms in her yard. Services and burial will be at Roachdale.  Survivors are the husband, Carl Stewart, employee of the US Rubber Co and two brothers, Elmer and Leonard Witt, Roachdale. - kbz
