STEWART, George W. - Putnam

George W. Stewart, 87, died Wednesday afternoon. The funeral will be held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harvey Blaydes, west of here Friday afternoon. Burial will be in Roachdale cemetery. He was born in Greenwood, Indiana, January 8, 1850, the son of Robert and Hulda Clark Stewart. On April 10, 1873, he married Mary F. Daugherty, who preceded him in 1911. Survivors besides the daughter are two grandsons; Stewart and Beuford C. Blaydes, both of near here; one sister, Mrs. Lyda M. Allen of Crawfordsville and two half brothers, Wesley and Samuel Stewart both of Des Moines, Iowa.    --- thanks so much to Marilyn Walker for donating her wonderful Roachdale Times obituary file for use on this site.
