Charleston,
Ill Nov 13 – John Stevens, a member of the colony at Coles County Home, passed
away at 11:30 o’clock this morning after an illness of several years. The
funeral will be conducted at the Home Chapel at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon and
burial will be in the county farm cemetery. Mr. Stevens was 78 years old. He
was born in Putnam County Indiana near Greencastle. He had no relatives.
